A Few of My Favorite Things

October made its appearance out of no where.

Our pool closed up for the season, homecoming has come and gone, and now we brace ourselves for potential snow?!? What?!?

What better time to talk about some of my favorite things about Fall and Family.

Apples

My harvest was plentiful, so lots of homemade applesauce and apple pie bars are in the making for the upcoming winter. (Salted caramel sauce on the side, of course.)

The Outdoors

Our maples turning a beautiful crimson, and my favorite backyard plant turning a crisp and gorgeous yellow.

Peppers

At the end of the season, these plants sure know how to pack a punch. But that’s a good thing- it means salsa for everyone! And also hiding a couple batches for just myself.

Soup

Yes, this is always a given. Soup is the epitome of fall! I like to think I can make soup out of pretty much anything...just saying.

Family

Three generations of girls right here!

Three generations of girls right here!

Whether we’re at a family event (most recently a birthday party at Brickway— thanks for inviting us, Blaire! (; ), going out to eat, or in our lazy clothes at home, I appreciate nothing else more than spending quality time with my family. From talk of the day, to laughter, AND a few inevitable arguments, we always and every day share one thing— love.

Now it’s time to feed that hungry family. Probably some soup.

Now go feed yours!

xoxo,

Paula
