Hello, once again, my crème foodies! The crème kitchen had the pleasure of hosting James Bekins for a tutorial on creating traditional Polish Cabbage Rolls, also known as Gołąbki (Golumpki)! All family members got their hands dirty while cooking and rolling these tiny little treasures! We were taught many techniques, from par cooking our rice to sautéing our onions until the edges are nicely browned. Give the dish plenty of time, but the end result is nothing but perfection!

Hello again sweet friends! What an exciting time in the Crème Cottage lately! So much has been happening. … so, where to begin?!?

To start, we have officially entered my most anticipated time of year. The “ber” months! I know when it comes around each year, as we kick it off by celebrating Maya’s birthday! This year was particularly special, because we celebrated her special 16th. And speaking of which, I have lots of fun pictures to share of the party with fun party ideas and even a really easy ice cream cake recipe that was SO. Good!! Let’s get started!

Most of you know what our little lake house means to me. It sits very unassumingly at the northern tip of beautiful Lake Poinsett in South Dakota, the 2nd largest natural lake in the state. It is my happy place. It’s the place where we love to boat and fish in the summer and get cozy in the Winter.

October made its appearance out of no where. Our pool closed up for the season, homecoming has come and gone, and now we brace ourselves for potential snow?!? What?!? What better time to talk about some of my favorite things about Fall and Family.
