This menu is hands down my most popular. Who wouldn't love fresh ingredients, great flavors, and the option to pair tequila. ;-)
I love when my students get creative, and this group delivered! A perfect little tequila basket made by one of the group. ADORABLE. She accompanied that by a few bottles of tequila to have a little tasting while cooking.
Let's talk menu : Guacamole with Fresh Corn Chips, Street Tacos two ways, and Sopapillas with Cajeta.
My guacamole is kept to it's truest form. Fresh avocado, fresh lime juice, and fresh garlic. All fresh - so delicious. Oh and fresh corn chips ;-)
The Pork Carnitas taco is accompanied by jalapeño slaw. A crisp bite with a bit of spice. The pork is slow cooked in a stock pot which brings out the most amazing flavors.
The Roasted Shrimp Chipotle Taco is accompanied by charred Mexican corn. This corn is a perfect addition to the spicy shrimp but also can double as a side dish (so convenient!). The shrimp is marinated and roasted to perfection. Served with Chipotle Lime Crema & extra queso fresco of course!
The grand finale... Sopapillas with Cajeta. A golden brown treat shaken in a sugar mixture. With a dash of cinnamon and drizzled with Cajeta you have the perfect ending to this Street Taco duo.
It was such a pleasure to host such a lovely group of women. I enjoyed getting to know you and of course - your love for chickens ;-). I hope you "take it to the streets" with street tacos in your kitchen sometime soon!
