Beer Brat Bites
Ingredients:
1 Package Bratwursts
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Bottle of your Favorite Beer
1 Package Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry
Dijon Mustard
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons Flour
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Beer
1/2 Cup Cream
1 Minced Garlic Clove
1 1/2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard
6 Ounces Shredded Soft Smoked Gouda
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Place a large skillet over medium heat and add you Olive Oil. Pan Sauté your Bratwursts, turning frequently until almost cooked all the way through. A little pink on the inside is okay!
Add about 1/3 Cup of Beer into the pan and cook until it evaporates. Set your Brats aside to cool.
Roll out room-temperature Puff Pastry into a rectangle and, using a pizza cutter, cut into 24 squares.
Spray a mini-muffin pan lightly, over the sink, with cooking spray and press a square of Puffy Pastry into each muffin pocket.
Lightly brush Dijon Mustard into each square.
Cut your Brats into 5 pieces and place one piece into each Puff Pastry. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through!
Place a heavy-bottom pot over medium heat while your Brat Bites bake. Melt your Butter, then whisk in the Flour. Cook this for a few minutes until it is nice and smooth. Slowly, add in your Beer, then Milk, and then Cream, all while whisking. Cook until thickened. Add your Minced Garlic Clove and the Dijon. Slowly add in your Shredded Gouda and whisk until smooth and heated through.
Serve the Beer Brat Bites drizzled with the Smoked Gouda Beer Cheese, or let guests help themselves!
Enjoy :)!
