Apple-Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients:
4 Small Pork Chops
½ a Red Apple
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
½ Cup of Chicken Broth
½ Cup of Apple Cider
2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
2 Cloves of Garlic
½ Teaspoon Dijon Mustard
Salt to Taste
A Bundle of Thyme
Instructions:
Season your Small Pork Chops with Salt and Pepper, and then dredge each side in All-Purpose Flour.
In a skillet, combine 2 Tablespoons of Butter and 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil over medium heat.
Sear the Pork Chops until golden brown on each side, it should be about 3-4 minutes. If you have thicker cuts, they might not cook all the way through. That is okay, they will finish up later.
I recommend cooking all four at the same time. The butter may get too brown if you cook two at a time. This recipe calls for four small or two to three large. Whatever you can fit into your pan in one go!
Set Pork Chops aside.
In the same skillet, add your minced Garlic Cloves, some sprigs of fresh Thyme, and half of a sliced Apple.
Turn the heat to low, and add Chicken Stock, Apple Cider, and Dijon Mustard to your pan. Whisk until combined, and reduce.
Add back your Pork Chops and sauté until the Pork Chop gets soft and tender. This will cook them the rest of the way if they are thicker!
Pour the sauce and glazed apples over the chops when serving and garnish with Fresh Thyme.
Enjoy :).
